Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Channa dal (soaked overnight)
  • 1 to 2 - Green chillies
  • a small piece of Ginger
  • For Filling:
  • 1 - carrot, chopped
  • 1 - capsicum, chopped
  • 1/4 cup - boiled peas
  • 2 tbsp - wholegrain Corn kernels
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • Curry leaves
  • salt
  • How to Make Blossom Basket:

    1. Grind the dal with chillies, ginger and salt.
    2. Take small moulds, fill with batter and steam. Cool and de-mould.
    3. Prepare the vegetables by sauteing curry leaves, salt, pepper, red chilli powder, carrots, corn, capsicum, and peas.
    4. Before serving, deep fry the steamed dal cakes till golden brown. Top with vegetables and garnish with coriander. Serve hot.
