Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Bottle Gourd pieces
  • 10 - Green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp - Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp - sambar powder
  • A few - Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • A pinch - Turmeric powder
  • A pinch - Asafoetida
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • Salt - to taste
  • How to Make Bottle Gourd Chutney:

    1. Heat oil in a pan and add bottle gourd pieces, cumin seeds, green chillies and saute well for 5 minutes.
    2. Then add curry leaves, turmeric, asafoetida, sambar powder and mix well.
    3. Keep the mixture on medium low flame for 5 more mins and turn off and keep aside to cool.
    4. Blend into a fine paste by adding lemon juice and salt.
