Ingredients

  • 1 cup - bottle gourd pieces
  • 10 - green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp - lemon juice
  • 1 tsp - sambar powder
  • A few - curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds
  • A pinch - Turmeric Powder
  • A pinch - asafoetida
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • Salt - to taste

How to Make Bottle Gourd Chutney

  • Heat oil in a pan and add bottle gourd pieces, cumin seeds, green chillies and saute well for 5 minutes.
  • Then add curry leaves, turmeric, asafoetida, sambar powder and mix well.
  • Keep the mixture on medium low flame for 5 more mins and turn off and keep aside to cool.
  • Blend into a fine paste by adding lemon juice and salt.
