Ingredients

  • 12 slices - bread
  • 1 cup - Corn
  • 1 cup - cold Milk
  • 1 cup - thick white sauce
  • 1/2 cup - grated cheese
  • 1 small Capsicum
  • 1 Spring onion
  • 1 tsp - Vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • For Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup - Tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup - Cream
  • 1 tbsp - flour
  • 2 tsp - Sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • How to Make Bread and Corn Supreme:

    1. Cut the bread slices into rounds.
    2. Boil the corn. Chop the capsicum, spring onion.
    3. Mix the white sauce, corn, capsicum, spring onion, salt, pepper and vinegar. Divide into 6 portions.
    4. Dip each round of bread in milk. Place one portion of the filling on one bread; cover with another.
    5. Prepare 6 sandwiches this way.
    6. Grease a baking dish and place the sandwiches.
    7. Pour over the remaining milk.
    8. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce.
    9. Cook over a medium heat till thick.
    10. Spread the sauce over the bread.
    11. Sprinkle the cheese on top and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degree C for 25 to 30 minutes.
