Ingredients

  • 5 - bread slices
  • 1/2 cup - chickpeas/besan flour
  • 1/4 tsp - garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp - yoghurt
  • Water as required
  • 3 tbsp - oil

How to Make Bread Pakoras

  • In a bowl, mix besan flour, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, salt and yoghurt.
  • Add water gradually and mix it into a thin (not too runny) paste.
  • Cut the bread slices diagonally.
  • Heat enough oil in a tawa, dip the bread slices into the prepared paste and drop gently into the hot oil. Fry on both sides until they turn golden brown.
