  • 3 - spring onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp - butter
  • 1 pkt - frozen spinach, chopped
  • 1 pkt - frozen broccoli spears, slightly softened
  • 2 cans - chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp - all-purpose flour
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup - Half and Half
  • 3 tbsp - lemon Juice, optional

How to Make Broccoli spinach soup

  • Take a saucepan and heat butter in it.
  • Add spring onions and cook until they turn soft.
  • Add all-purpose flour, salt and pepper to it and mix well.
  • Now, put chopped spinach, chicken broth and broccoli spears in it and mix well again.
  • Cover and cook on low flame for 5 to 8 minutes or till the vegetables are tender.
  • Add half and half and cook for 4 more minutes.
  • You can make it a little tangier by adding lemon juice.
  • Your soup is ready to be served.
