Ingredients

  • Butter beans - 1 cup
  • Boiled potato - 2
  • Thick coconut milk - 1 cup
  • Garlic - 1 tsp
  • Green chillies - 3
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 2 tsp
  • Red chillies - 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • 1/2 cup - water

How to Make Butter Beans-Potato Kuttu

  • Boil butter beans. Keep aside
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • When hot, add mustard seeds, red chillies and curry leaves and fry
  • Add chopped boiled potatoes, 2 whole peppercorns and fry on low heat
  • Add coriander powder and green chillies followed by the boiled butter beans. Mix well
  • Add salt and 1/2 cup water. Simmer for 5 minutes
  • Then add the coconut milk. Stir
  • After 2 minutes, take off the heat
