  • 1 no. - Capsicum (chopped)
  • 1/2 no. - Onion (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - besan/gram flour
  • 1 tsp - Peanut powder
  • 1/4 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin and coriander powders
  • 2 tsp - Corn flour
  • 1 tsp - rava
  • Water
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry
  • How to Make Capsicum and onion vadai:

    1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add onion and capsicum.
    2. Fry till vegetables are tender. In a bowl, mix besan, chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin and coriander powders, peanut powder and salt.
    3. Add this dry mix to the pan and cook till the raw smell has disappeared.
    4. Allow to cool.
    5. In a bowl, mix corn flour, rava, salt and a pinch of turmeric and some water and prepare a batter.
    6. Make small balls of the capsicum onion mixture, dip in the batter prepared and fry till brown.
    7. Vadais are ready; serve with ketchup or pudina chutney.
