  • For pudding: Milk - 1/2 litre
  • Sugar - 10 tbsp
  • Egg - 5
  • Vanilla essence - 5 drops
  • Butter for greasing - 1 tsp
  • For caramel syrup: Sugar - 7 tbsp
  • Water - 1/2 cup

How to Make Caramel Pudding with eggs

  • Pre-heat an oven to 180 degrees C.
  • Grease a medium-sized oven-safe bowl and keep aside.
  • Beat the eggs and add vanilla essence, sugar and milk and keep aside.
  • In a heavy-base saucepan, heat the sugar to prepare the syrup. When the sugar melts and becomes brownish, pour water and stir continuously until it thickens.
  • Pour this mixture into the greased bowl. Add the custard mix carefully on top of the caramel syrup and bake in the pre-heated oven for 30 minutes or until cooked.
  • Insert a skewer to check. When the pudding cools, refrigerate for an hour before serving.
