Ingredients

  • 1 cup - besan
  • 1 cup - grated Carrot
  • 3 green chilies
  • 2 tbsp - Wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 2 tbsp - chopped Coriander leaves
  • 2 cm - Ginger
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp - chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - Lime juice
  • 2 tsp - Jaggery powder
  • 1/2 tsp - cooking soda
  • salt to taste
  • For Seasoning:
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - mustard
  • 1 tbsp - sesame seeds

How to Make Carrot Muthia

  • Mix all the ingredients for muthia together.
  • Sprinkle little water if needed and prepare a soft dough.
  • Shape into muthias ( like tiny sausages) and steam in microwave steamer for 5 minutes. Cool slightly.
  • Heat oil for seasoning in a kadai on fire. Add mustard and sesame seeds.
  • When they splutter, add muthias and roast well.
  • Serve garnished with coriander leaves and lime slices. Serve as a tea time snack
