Ingredients

  • 1 medium - Cauliflower, cut into big florets
  • 2 medium - Potatoes, chopped into cubes
  • 1 - Onion, thinly sliced
  • 5 - Green chillies
  • 1 inch piece - Ginger
  • 8 cloves - Garlic
  • 1 inch piece - Cinnamon
  • 2 - Cloves
  • 1 tsp - Jeera
  • 2 tbsp - Coriander powder
  • A pinch - Turmeric powder
  • 5 tbsp - grated coconut
  • Salt, to taste

How to Make Cauliflower - Potato Sabzi

  • In a blender, make a paste of the grated coconut, green chillies, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, and cloves. Add water as required.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add jeera. When it splutters add the chopped onions and fry till lightly brown.
  • Then add the paste and coriander powder, turmeric powder and fry till oil separates from the paste.
  • Add the chopped potatoes and stir well to coat the potatoes with the spices.
  • Add salt and required water and allow to cook.
  • When potatoes are almost done add the cauliflower florets. Stir, reduce heat and cover the pan till the cauliflower and potatoes are cooked.
  • Serve hot with Rotis.
