Ingredients

  • 1 - medium cauliflower, cleaned into small florets
  • 5 - cheese slices
  • 5 slices - fresh bread
  • Oil to deep fry
  • Some Corn flour for dusting
  • Mix to form a marinade:
  • 3 to 4 - Garlic flakes, crushed
  • 1 " piece - ginger, grated
  • 3 to 4 - Green chillies
  • 1 tsp - mustard paste
  • 1 tsp - Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp - soya sauce
  • 1/2 tsp - white Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp - grated Lemon rind (optional)
  • 1 tsp - finely chopped Mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp - finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp - Corn flour
  • 1 tbsp - water
  • 1 tbsp - Olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Cauliflower Cheese Delite:

    1. Mix marinade ingredients thoroughly. Use an egg beater if required.
    2. Wipe cauliflower with absorbent cloth.
    3. Pour marinade over cauliflower and toss to coat evenly.
    4. Moisten one slice of bread a little by placing between layers of wet cloth.
    5. Press gently to flatten a bit.
    6. Place a slice of cheese on the bread.
    7. Place a few florets in the centre of the slice.
    8. Now either roll like an oblong or pull up to make a pouch.
    9. Make sure the cheese and filling are well enclosed in the bread.
    10. Roll in corn flour and keep aside.
    11. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes or till required.
    12. Put oil to heat in a deep frying pan.
    13. Fry a few pieces at a time, gently flipping to brown all over.
    14. Drain when crisp and golden.
    15. Serve hot and crisp with chutney or sauce.
    16. Cut into halves before serving if desired.
    17. Can be stored in fridge for 3-4 hours before frying.
