Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup - onion, finely chopped
  • 1 - cauliflower, large
  • 1/2 cup - grated Coconut
  • 6 - Green chillies
  • 2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 5 tbsp - oil
  • How to Make Cauliflower in Coconut Masala:

    1. Cut cauliflower into medium size pieces.
    2. Grind coconut with green chillies, cumin and turmeric to a coarse paste.
    3. Heat the oil in a non stick kadai and fry the onion till dark brown.
    4. Add the ground paste and fry till it is brown.
    5. Add chilli and garam masala powders, fry for 1 minute.
    6. Add cauliflower and salt.
    7. Cook stirring on low heat often till the cauliflower is cooked.
    8. Do not add water.
    9. Serve hot with chapatti/ steamed rice and dal.
