How to Make Cauliflower Manchurian

  • Wash and cut the cauliflower into small florets. Cook for 2 mins
  • Mix maida, garam masala, red chilli powder, salt and water without any lumps
  • The batter should be a little thick
  • Dip the cauliflower in this batter and deep fry in the oil till light brown and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in another pan. Fry onions, ginger and garlic. Allow to cool.
  • Grind these onions, the ginger and garlic into a smooth paste.
  • Blanch tomatoes in hot water and remove the skin and make it into a paste
  • Heat oil, season with cumin and then add the onion-ginger-garlic paste and fry until the raw smell goes.
  • Add tomato paste and fry for 5 mins
  • Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt to that paste and allow it to boil.
  • When it starts boiling, add fried cauliflower. Allow it to boil further until the gravy becomes thick.
  • Sprinkle some grated cheese and garnish with coriander leaves.
