Ingredients

  • 1 kg - skinned chicken, cut into medium-sized pieces
  • 10 - dry Red Chillies
  • 1 tsp - pepper
  • 1 tsp - coriander
  • 1 tsp - cumin
  • 2 Cloves - Garlic
  • 2 pieces - Ginger
  • 4 - Tomatoes
  • 4 - big Onions
  • salt to taste
  • 5 tsp - oil
  • A pinch - Turmeric powder
  • How to Make Ceylon Chicken Fry:

    1. Grind the chillies, pepper, coriander, cumin, tomatoes, garlic and ginger.
    2. Mix the ground ingredients with the chicken.
    3. Add salt and a little turmeric powder. Boil well.
    4. In another pan, pour oil and fry the onions until brown.
    5. Add the boiled chicken to the onions and stir for 5 minutes until it absorbs the water.
    6. Serve hot with rice or chapathi.
