  • 75g - Urad Dal
  • 250g - Chana dal
  • 2 to 3 - Red Chillies
  • a pinch of Asafoetida
  • 2 small Onions
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Chana-Udad Dal Vada:

    1. Wash and soak both the dals separately in water for about 4 hours.
    2. Drain and grind to a slightly coarse paste with all the other ingredients with the exception of onions.
    3. Add minced onions.
    4. Form into round vadas on a wet cloth and deep fry to a golden colour.
    5. Drain and serve hot with chutney of your choice.
