Ingredients

  • For the Stuffing:
  • White Channa- 1/2 cup
  • Channa Masala powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Jeera- 1/2 tsp
  • Oil- 1 tsp
  • Onion- 1
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • For the dough:
  • Maida- 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Oil as needed

How to Make Channa Samosa

  • Soak white channa for hours and pressure cook it till soft.
  • In a pan, add oil and jeera followed by cut onion and channa masala powder.
  • Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.
  • Mix well till raw smell goes away and cool down.
  • In a bowl add maida, salt, water and oil and knead to a soft dough and set aside.
  • Make small puris and fill it with the stuffing.
  • Now, make into the shape of a samosa and set aside.
  • Heat oil and fry the samosas one by one till golden brown.
  • Enjoy it with masala tea as an evening snack.
