Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Channa
  • 1/2 cup - Chopped Cucumber
  • 1/2 cup - Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup - Chopped Spring Onion
  • 1/2 cup - Cabbage (Shredded) (optional)
  • 2 tsp - Chat Masala
  • 2 tsp - Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 cup - Capsicum (optional)
  • 1 tbsp - Salad Oil or Olive Oil (Can be made without oil also).
  • 2 - Green Chillies, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Chapatti Channa Chaat

  • Soak Channa overnight.
  • Tie them in a soft cotton cloth for 9 to 10 hrs.
  • Keep in a warm place.
  • Pressure cook the Channa till done. (Approx. 5 to 6 whistles)
  • Place all the chopped vegetables (cucumber, tomatoes, spring onion, cabbage, capsicum) together.
  • Drain out the water from the channa.
  • Mix all the ingredients i.e. channa, chopped vegetables, chat masala, lemon, oil and salt.
  • Refrigerate the salad for about an hour. Serve.
