Ingredients

  • Leftover chapattis - four
  • Onion - 1 big size
  • Tomato - 1, big size
  • Green chillies - 5 or 6
  • Yoghurt - 100 ml
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin - 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - one stalk
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking oil - 3 tbsp
  • How to Make Chapatti Ka Chiwda:

    1. Cut chapati into small pieces and grind them into mixer for one minute.
    2. Sliced onion and chopped tomato into small pieces.
    3. Cut green chilli vertically.
    4. In pan or kadai, heat 2 - 3 tbsp cooking oil.
    5. Add mustard seeds, cumin and curry leaves.
    6. When mustard seeds starts splitting, add sliced onion and green chillies.
    7. Fry until onion turns golden brown.
    8. Add chopped tomatoes. Stir for a while.
    9. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt. Stir it for a while.
    10. Add 100 ml yoghurt and mix it well. Add ground chapati and mix it well.
    11. Keep it on low fire for about five mins and stir it in short intervals.
    12. Garnish with coriander leaves.
