Ingredients

  • 125 g - cheddar cheese
  • 125 g - Butter
  • 1 cup - plain flour
  • 2 tbsp - self raising flour
  • 2 tbsp - grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - cayenne
  • How to Make Cheddar Cheese Biscuits:

    1. Sift and pour the ingredients into a bowl. Rub in the butter and grated parmesan cheese.
    2. Knead into into a soft dough, adding lemon juice.
    3. Shape the mixture into a roll 38 cm long and wrap in a greaseproof paper and then in aluminium foil. Refrigerate for at least three hours.
    4. Cut the roll into slices half inch thick and place on a greased oven tray.
    5. Bake in a moderately hot oven for 15 minutes until light golden brown. Cool on trays.
