Mix the cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, chilli powder and pepper in a bowl. Blend well.
Cut the slices of bread in triangles.
Dip these triangles in the cheese mixture and immediately shallow fry till golden brown on both sides.
Serve immediately with chutney.
