Ingredients

  • 4 - large fish fillets
  • 1.5 tbsp - melted Butter
  • 1 cup - flour
  • 1 tbsp - chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • oil for frying
  • 2 - eggs (separated)
  • For serving:
  • wedge of Lime
  • tartar sauce

How to Make Cheese Fried Fish

  • Put the flour, egg yolks, chilli powder, salt, pepper, cheese and butter in a bowl.
  • Cover and refrigerate for about 3 hours.
  • Beat the egg whites till stiff.
  • Add to the batter along with the coriander leaves.
  • Coat the fish fillets generously with the batter.
  • Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
  • Serve with wedges of lime and tartar sauce.
