Ingredients

  • 1 small head Cauliflower (about 450g), separate into florets
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp Butter or margarine
  • 2 tbsp plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 tbsp snipped fresh Parsley (or 1.5 tsp dried Parsley flakes)
  • How to Make Cheesy cauliflower:

    1. In a casserole, place the cauliflower and water. Cover.
    2. Microwave at high for 7 to 8 minutes or until they turn tender, stirring once. Drain.
    3. Cover, set aside.
    4. Place butter in a 4 to 5 cup measure vessel.
    5. Microwave at high for 1 to 2 minutes or until the butter melts.
    6. Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    7. Add milk and Worcestershire sauce.
    8. Microwave at high for 3 to 4 minutes or until thickened, stirring after first 2 minutes and then after each minute.
    9. Stir in cheese and parsley.
    10. Pour over cauliflower.
