Ingredients

  • 225 g - Refined flour
  • 40 g - Butter
  • 50 g - Raisins
  • 150 ml - Milk
  • 15 g - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - dried Yeast
  • How to Make Chelsea Buns:

    1. Sieve flour and salt in a warm basin.
    2. Mix yeast with warm milk and one tsp of sugar.
    3. Rub in butter.
    4. Mix sieved ingredients with yeast mixture and beat with egg beater.
    5. Put into a warm basin and allow to remain until the dough doubles itself.
    6. Knead lightly on a board.
    7. Roll out into a rectangle.
    8. Brush with melted butter.
    9. Sprinkle sugar and chopped raisins. Roll like a Swiss roll.
    10. Now cut the roll into 1.5 inch pieces.
    11. Place cut side up and close together while placing on a baking tray. Prove for 20 minutes.
    12. Bake at 230 degree C for 20 minutes.
    13. When cold, you may ice with glace icing.
