Ingredients

  • 125 g - mixed nuts, chopped
  • 125 g - Butter
  • 1 cup - self raising flour
  • 1/2 cup - Sugar
  • 1 - Egg
  • 1 tsp - vanilla
  • Few - glace Cherries
  • How to Make Cherry Nut Biscuits:

    1. Cream butter and sugar until light and creamy.
    2. Add egg, vanilla and beat well.
    3. Add sifted flour and knead into a soft dough.
    4. Drop rounded teaspoonful of mixture into nuts.
    5. Roll into balls.
    6. Press half a cherry on top.
    7. Keep on lightly greased oven trays and allow room for spreading.
    8. Bake in moderate oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden.
    9. Cool slightly before removing from trays.
