  • 125 g - mixed nuts, chopped
  • 125 g - butter
  • 1 cup - self raising flour
  • 1/2 cup - sugar
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 tsp - vanilla
  • Few - glace cherries

How to Make Cherry Nut Biscuits

  • Cream butter and sugar until light and creamy.
  • Add egg, vanilla and beat well.
  • Add sifted flour and knead into a soft dough.
  • Drop rounded teaspoonful of mixture into nuts.
  • Roll into balls.
  • Press half a cherry on top.
  • Keep on lightly greased oven trays and allow room for spreading.
  • Bake in moderate oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden.
  • Cool slightly before removing from trays.
