Ingredients

  • 1kg - chicken, cut into medium-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 2 - potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters
  • 2 - carrots, peeled and cut into medium-sized pieces
  • 1 tsp - peppercorns
  • 1 - tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - chopped Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp - chopped Garlic
  • salt to taste
  • 3 - green chillies, slit
  • 2 - onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp - chopped Mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp - flour
  • How to Make Chicken & Potato Stew:

    1. Cook the chicken along with the potatoes, carrots, peppercorns, green chillies, tomato, ginger, garlic, mint, salt, and sufficient water until tender.
    2. Make a thin paste of the flour with about 1/4 cup of water.
    3. In another pan, heat the oil and fry the onions till golden brown.
    4. Add the flour paste and fry along with the onions for some time.
    5. Add the cooked chicken and potatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
    6. Serve hot with bread or hoppers.
