Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 250 gm
  • Bread slices - 8
  • For salsa
  • oil - 1 tbsp
  • Onion - 1 big
  • Capsicum - 1
  • chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic - 2 flakes
  • salt, pepper, Sugar to taste
  • Tomatoes - 500 gm

How to Make Chicken and Salsa Sandwich

  • Cover chicken breast with water.
  • Add one and a half tsp salt and few black pepper corns.
  • Heat till it begins to boil.
  • Reduce the flame and simmer till the chicken is cooked.
  • Strain and cool the chicken. (Use the stock in other recipe) Shred the meat.
  • For Salsa:
  • Chop onion and capsicum (discard seeds).
  • Blanch, peel and chop tomato.
  • Heat oil, fry onion, garlic and capsicum till tender. Add all powders and tomato.
  • Add salt, pepper and sugar. Simmer till thick.
  • Sandwich two slices of bread with salsa and chicken meat.
