Ingredients

  • Chicken - 1 kg, chopped into small pieces
  • Onion - 1.5 large, chopped into thin strips
  • Green peppers - 6 to 8
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1.5 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Clove - 5
  • Cardamom - 4
  • Cinnamon - 1 piece
  • Bay Leaf - 1 leaf
  • Red Chilli powder - 1 tsp according to taste
  • Coconut powder - 5 tbsp
  • Yogurt - 5 tbsp
  • Oil - 4 to 6 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • How to Make Chicken Kurma with yoghurt:

    1. Make a paste of coconut and green pepper and keep a side. Heat oil in a pan add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves and fry them till brown.
    2. Then add the onions and fry them till brown, add salt and turmeric powder.
    3. Fry them till golden brown.
    4. Add chicken and fry them for 5 minutes.
    5. Let the chicken cook for few minutes.
    6. After the chicken is cooked add the coconut paste, yogurt and red chilli powder and let them cook for 15 mins
    7. Garnish with coriander
