Ingredients

  • Chicken - 1 kg
  • Sliced big Onions - 1 cup
  • Split Green chillies - 4
  • Sliced Tomatoes - 3
  • Oil - 1/2 cup
  • Grind together:
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp -
  • Cinnamon - 1 inch piece
  • Clove - 4
  • Garlic - 1 pod
  • Ginger - 2 inch pieces
  • Dry chillies - 10
  • Pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Aniseeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Curry leaves - 2 sprig
  • How to Make Chicken Masala Curry:

    1. Heat oil in a pan. Saute onions, tomatoes and green chillies separately and keep aside.
    2. Saute the ground masala in the remaining oil.
    3. When it is done, add chicken pieces and salt.
    4. Add sufficient water to cook the chicken and close the pan.
    5. When it is done, add the sauteed onions, tomatoes, green chillies and curry leaves.
    6. Remove from fire.
    7. Serve with rice.
