Ingredients

  • 250 g - chicken, cleaned and washed
  • 150 g - rice, cleaned and washed
  • 5 to 6 - tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 4 to 5 - Green chillies
  • 1/2 cup - coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - Mint leaves
  • 2 to 3 tsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 3 tsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 2 to 3 cups - water
  • Salt - to taste
  • How to Make Chicken Taheri:

    1. Saute all ingredients (except chicken, water and rice) in a pan with oil.
    2. Once the tomatoes are done, add chicken and cook till tender.
    3. Add rice and water.
    4. Boil till the rice is half-done
    5. Cover and cook on a low flame for 10-15 minutes.
    6. Serve hot with curd and salad.
