  • Set 1: 1.5 lbs - Chicken (cut into medium-sized pieces)
  • 2 tbsp - Maida (all-purpose flour)
  • 1 tsp - black pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp - ajinomoto (Chinese salt)
  • 1 - Egg (beaten)
  • salt to taste
  • 1-2 tsp - soya sauce
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • Set 2: 1 - Onion (finely chopped)
  • 5 - Green chillies (finely chopped as long slits)
  • oil for frying
  • How to Make Chinese Style Chilli Chicken:

    1. Mix all the ingredients of Set 1 in a bowl and marinate for 2-4 hours.
    2. Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry the chicken pieces until golden brown. Dry with a paper towel and set aside.
    3. Heat around 1 tbsp of oil in another pan and add the ingredients of Set 2. Saute for a while.
    4. Add a bit of ajinomoto, salt, sugar, soya sauce and pepper powder and then the fried chicken pieces. Stir for a couple of minutes.
