  • 1 cup - chocolate chips or buttons
  • 2 tbsp - butter
  • 2 cup rice, wheat or other cereal

How to Make Chocolate Cereal Diyas

  • Form diya moulds with well pressed foil paper. Keep it aside.
  • Boil water in a large pan or a double boiler.
  • Place a small pan over the simmering water.
  • Add chocolate chips and butter, stir gently while melting it.
  • When it becomes smooth and even in texture, add cereals.
  • Mix it well, take it off the fire and let it cool a little.
  • Pour a small portion into a prepared diya, press it into shape with the back of a teaspoon.
  • Repeat this for the remaining mixture.
  • Allow it to cool and harden.
  • Refrigerate if necessary until it becomes hard.
  • Carefully pry it out of the mould, peel off the foil and place it on a plate.
  • Fill as desired.
  • Repeat for all the diyas.
