Ingredients

  • 2 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 1/2 cup - shortening
  • 2/3 cup - granulated Sugar
  • 1/3 cup - Milk
  • 1/2 cup - Walnuts
  • 2 chocolate squares (bitter)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 2 tsp - baking powder
  • How to Make Chocolate Crinkles:

    1. Cream together shortening, sugar and vanilla essence.
    2. Beat in the eggs and melted chocolate.
    3. Sieve dry ingredients and blend it in alternately with milk.
    4. Add chopped walnuts. Chill in refrigerator for 3 hours
    5. Shape into 1" balls. Coat with sugar.
    6. Place each ball 2-3" apart on a greased cookie sheet and bake in moderately slow oven at 350 degree F for 15 mins.
    7. Cool a little before removing from the pan.
