Ingredients

  • 1 litre - hot Milk
  • 3/4 cup - Sugar
  • 1 tbsp - cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp - cochineal colour (optional)
  • 1 tbsp - grated Almond powder
  • 1 tbsp - halved, blanched roasted Almonds
  • 1 tbsp - chocolate buttons
  • How to Make Chocolate Kheer:

    1. Dissolve cocoa and almond powder in 1 cup milk. Put remaining milk to boil with sugar.
    2. Allow it to simmer for 15 minutes.
    3. Add cocoa mixture, cochineal, and almond halves, and stir.
    4. Simmer for 1 to 2 minutes.
    5. Serve, sprinkling a few buttons in individual bowls.
