Ingredients

  • 2 cups - fresh pineapple, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • 2 cup - milk
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 1/2 cup - flour
  • 1/2 cup - butter
  • 1 packet - Marie biscuits
  • 6 - egg yolks
  • 3 tbsp - cocoa
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 2 tbsp - walnuts, chopped

How to Make Chocolate Pineapple Biscuit Pudding

  • Add 1/2 cup of sugar to pineapple with 1/2 cup of water.
  • Simmer gently till the pineapple pieces are slightly softened. Leave aside to cool.
  • Beat the egg yolks with remaining sugar till thick and light.
  • Add the cocoa and beat till smooth.
  • Mix flour with 1/2 cup of milk to a smooth paste.
  • Add the remaining milk to the egg yolk mixture.
  • Place on a low flame. Stir and cook till the mixture is hot.
  • Add the flour paste and continue to cook till the mixture begins to simmer.
  • Simmer gently for 2 more minutes.
  • Remove from heat and beat in the butter and vanilla essence.
  • Take a 7-inch square dish. Arrange a layer of biscuits at the base.
  • Spread half of the pineapple mixture over it.
  • Spread it with 1/3 of the chocolate mixture.
  • Repeat the layers, and end it with the chocolate mixture.
  • Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top and leave in the refrigerator to chill.
  • Cut into slices and serve cold.
