Ingredients

  • 1 cup - white Chole
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1 pinch- soda bi-carbonate
  • 1 - Bay Leaf
  • 2 cups - water
  • 1/4 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - ground coriander
  • 1 tsp - aamchoor
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp - Channa masala
  • 1 pinch - black pepper
  • 3 tbsp - oil

How to Make Chole

  • Soak 1 cup of chole in water overnight.
  • Pressure cook chole, salt, soda bi-carbonate, and 1 bay leaf with 2 cups water. Cook till tender.
  • Drain the chole and save the water.
  • Mix chole with chilli powder, ground coriander, amchur, garam masala, chana masala and black pepper.
  • Heat a little oil in a pan and add chole and water, boil.
  • When the gravy thickens, add 3 tbsps of oil and stir for a little while. Serve hot.
