Ingredients

  • 1 cup - pastry flour, sifted
  • 1/2 cup - Sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup - Milk
  • 2 tbsp - rum
  • 250g - cherries, pitted
  • 2 tbsp - icing Sugar

How to Make Claufoutis (flan)

  • Preheat the oven to 325 deg F.
  • Place the flour in a mixing bowl.
  • Mix in the sugar.
  • Make a well in the middle of the flour.
  • Place the eggs in the well, add the milk and the rum.
  • Mix until the batter becomes smooth.
  • Add the pitted cherries to the batter.
  • Pour the batter into a buttered pie plate.
  • Cook in the oven at 325 deg F for 40 mins.
  • Cool, unmould and sprinkle the clafoutis with icing sugar.
  • Serve with strawberry fruit sauce.
