Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Prawns or shrimps, cleaned
  • 1 cup - thick Coconut Milk
  • 1.5 cup - thin Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 cup - sour green mango, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - finely chopped Onion
  • 1 tsp - Garlic paste
  • 2 tsp - green chillies, minced (discard seeds)
  • 2 tsp - Kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Coastal Prawn Curry:

    1. If green mango is not available, 2 teaspoons of tamarind paste or 1/2 cup extract from lime-sized ball of tamarind may be used.
    2. Combine all the ingredients together.
    3. Heat till the contents begin to boil.
    4. Simmer till the prawns are cooled (Avoid overcooking, which makes prawns hard.).
    5. This is a very quick and simple curry, served with steamed rice.
