  • Fresh grated Coconut - 2 cups
  • Whole Milk - 1 cup
  • Raw Sugar - 1 cup
  • Milk powder - 2 tbsp
  • Rose flavouring - 3 drops
  • Crushed Cardamom seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • How to Make Coconut Barfi with Raw Sugar:

    1. To a pan on medium heat, add one cup of milk and sugar and cook until the sugar has melted.
    2. Add the milk powder.
    3. Mix and remove the milk powder lumps that form as much as possible.
    4. It is ok if a few small lumps remain.
    5. Add the grated coconut and stir and cook until all of the liquid has evaporated and the contents leave the side of the pan and form a mass in the middle.
    6. Takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
    7. Turn the heat off add the rose flavor and crushed cardamom seed mix well and pour the contents onto a greased plate, flatten the top surface.
    8. When it cool cut it into squares.
