  • 2 cup - Rice
  • 1 cup - grated Coconut
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - Urad Dal powder
  • How to Make Coconut Seedai:

    1. Soak the rice in water for about 30 mins.
    2. Wash, drain and spread in a towel for 10 mins.
    3. Grind rice in a mixer and strain it twice in a sieve and keep aside.
    4. The flour should be a little coarse.
    5. Roast urad dal and powder it.
    6. Mix both the flours and sieve.
    7. Add grated coconut and salt and mix well.
    8. Now knead a little and make small balls of mixture and keep it aside in a plate.
    9. Heat oil in a pan, and deep fry the seedai till it becomes golden colour.
