Ingredients

  • 500 g - prawns, shelled and cleaned
  • 3 - onions, chopped finely
  • 1 - onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp - Tamarind pulp
  • 1 tbsp - Jaggery
  • 1 tsp - Garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 tbsp - chopped Coriander leaves
  • For powder (roast and grind): 2 - Cloves
  • 4 - peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp - Coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp - Cumin seeds
  • 4 - Dried red chilli
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • How to Make Colmi-No-Patio:

    1. Heat oil in a pan.
    2. Add sliced onion. Fry till brown.
    3. Add the powder and saute for 2-3 minutes
    4. Add salt, chopped onion and garlic paste.
    5. Saute for another 2 minutes
    6. Add 1/2 cup water and prawns.
    7. When prawns are cooked, add tamarind pulp and jaggery.
    8. Cook for another 5 minutes
    9. Garnish with coriander leaves.
    10. Serve hot.
