Ingredients

  • 1 bunch - cilantro/coriander leaves
  • 1 - onion (small)
  • 1 - tomato (medium)
  • small quantity - tamarind
  • 1 tbsp - ginger
  • 1 - garlic (medium)
  • 1 tsp - coconut (grated)
  • 1 tsp - fenugreek
  • small quantity - pepper
  • small quantity - cumin seeds
  • 4 - red chillies(medium)
  • 2 - green chillies (small)
  • 1/2 tsp - Bengal gram
  • 1/2 tsp - black gram
  • a pinch - asafetida
  • 2 tbsp - sesame oil
  • salt to taste

How to Make Coriander cilantro chutney

  • Wash and cut coriander leaves and keep them ready in a plate.
  • Cut onion, tomatoes and keep other required ingredients in a plate.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry Bengal gram, black gram, pepper, cumin seeds, fenugreek, tamarind, ginger, garlic, red chillies, green chillies, onion and tomatoes.
  • Add asafoetida and salt and cilantro leaves.
  • Fry for some 10 minutes and allow it cool off.
  • Grind all the contents adding a little water in a mixie.
