Ingredients

  • Mint leaves - 1 bunch.
  • Coriander leaves -1 bunch.
  • Dry red chillies - 3.
  • Tamarind paste - 1/2 tsp.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Onion - 1.
  • tomatoes - 1 | Urad dal - 1/2 tsp| Seasonings:
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp.
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp.
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig.

How to Make Coriander mint chutney

  • Heat oil in kadai, add 1/2 tsp urad dal. Fry till it turns brown.
  • Add chopped onions and red chillies. Fry till golden brown.
  • Add mint and coriander saute till they wilt.
  • Add tomatoes and fry till it softens.
  • Now grind all the fried ingredients with tamarind paste and salt.
  • Put the kadai back on heat and add some oil. Splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add urad dal and when it turns brown, add curry leaves and fry for a minute.
  • Add this seasoning to the chutney.
  • Serve with dosas.
