Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups - crushed cornflakes
  • 1/3 cup - chopped dark chocolate
  • 4 - Egg whites
  • 1.5 cups - Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp - salt
  • 2 tbsp - Milk
  • 3 tbsp - flour
  • 3 tbsp - cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp - vanilla essence

How to Make Cornflakes Chocolate Macaroons

  • In a heavy saucepan, combine egg whites, sugar and salt.
  • Heat over medium flame, stirring continuously until it is just warm to touch.
  • Add the flour, cocoa powder, vanilla, milk and cornflakes.
  • Continue stirring for 4 minutes or till gently sizzling.
  • Remove from heat, add the chocolate and mix well till the entire chocolate is melted and blended.
  • Using a spoon or scoop place balls on parchment paper spaced 1 inch apart.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or till they set and turn crisp around the edges.
  • Let it cool completely.
