Ingredients

  • 2.5 cup - mixed cooked vegetables
  • 1/2 cup - light Cream
  • 2 tbsp - Butter
  • 1 tbsp - flour
  • 1/4 tsp - dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp - salt
  • 1/4 tsp - pepper

How to Make Creamed vegetables

  • Drain vegetables and add 1/2 cup of the liquid to cream.
  • Melt butter. Add flour and mustard. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Add liquid. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add vegetables.
  • Heat thoroughly.
  • If desired, 1/2 cup grated cheese or sliced hard boiled eggs may be added to vegetables.
