  • 2 cup - leftover rice
  • 2 tbsp - chopped spinach
  • 6-7 green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1 piece ginger (crushed or grated)
  • 1/2 tbsp - wheat flour or maida
  • 1 tbsp - semolina fine
  • 1 tsp - butter
  • 2-3 pods garlic crushed
  • Oil to deep fry
  • salt to taste

How to Make Croquettes from Rice

  • Mix all ingredients, except oil and semolina.
  • Add flour in case the mixture is too soggy or water in case the mixture is too dry.
  • Shape in croquettes. Roll in the semolina to coat.
  • Heat oil in kadai. Add in the croquettes few at a time to fry on medium flame till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with tamarind sauce, green chutney or ketchup.
