Ingredients

  • 6 slices fresh sandwich bread
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 potato, grated
  • 1 cucumber, grated
  • 1 tbsp - cabbage, grated
  • 1 capsicum, grated
  • 1 tbsp - Butter
  • 1 tbsp - cheese grated (cream or processed)
  • 1 tbsp - Corn flour
  • 1 cup - Milk
  • 1/2 tsp - black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Crunchy Creamy Toasts:

    1. Melt the butter, add all vegetables.
    2. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes.
    3. Dissolve corn flour in the milk. Add to the vegetables, stirring continuously.
    4. Add the salt, pepper, cheese and cook, stirring continuously till thick and creamy.
    5. Cool the mixture for 10 minutes.
    6. Pile onto each slice and grill in a hot oven for 5-7 minutes till the bread gets crisp.
    7. Serve hot with ketchup or chilli garlic sauce.
