Ingredients

  • 8 - pig trotters
  • 2 - large tomatoes, pureed
  • 3 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 - large onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - all spice powder or garam masala powder
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • salt
  • a small bunch of coriander leaves, chopped

How to Make Curried pork trotters

  • Wash the trotters well and cook it with sufficient water and a little salt in a pressure cooker till it is soft.
  • Heat oil in a pan and lightly saute the onions.
  • Add the cooked trotters, all the spice powders, chilli powder, coriander powder, tomato puree and salt and mix it well.
  • Cook first on high heat and then on low heat for about 15 minutes.
  • Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve it hot with rice or bread.
