  • 2 cup - dal (a mixture of any dals is fine) - soaked for 1 hour
  • 1 cup - chopped Palak
  • 1/2 cup - finely chopped Capsicum
  • 3 - Green chillies
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • Mustard, cumin for seasoning
  • 1 large piece - Raw Mango
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • How to Make Daal with Palak and Capsicum:

    1. Cook the dal and mango together till done
    2. In a non stick pan, heat 2 tsp of oil.
    3. Add the mustard and cumin to the hot oil
    4. When they splutter, add the capsicum and stir fry for 5 mins
    5. Add the garam masala and fry for 1 more minute.
    6. Add the dal to the pan along with salt
    7. Sprinkle the palak over the dal and let it cook for another 10 min
    8. Serve hot with rice or rotis
