Ingredients

  • 2 lb - mutton
  • 1 tbsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 4 - potatoes
  • 4 - onions, chopped fine
  • 3 - bay leaves
  • 2 inch piece - cinnamon stick
  • 8 - cloves
  • 1 cup - plain yoghurt
  • 2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

How to Make Dahi Maans

  • Marinate mutton pieces with ginger-garlic paste for 10 mins.
  • Pressure cook mutton and set aside.
  • Peel, wash and cut potatoes into long wedges.
  • Add oil to vessel and fry potato wedges and set aside.
  • To oil, add bay leaves, cinnamon and cloves.
  • Add onions and fry till golden brown.
  • Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, yoghurt and salt to taste.
  • Next add cooked mutton pieces, garam masala and mix well.
  • Then add potato wedges and mix well and cook on slow flame for a while. Serve
