Ingredients

  • 2 cups - peas
  • 1 - Onion
  • 1/2 - Tomato
  • 3 sprigs - coriander
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 3 tsp - chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp - Tamarind paste
  • 1 tsp - Jaggery
  • 2 tbsp - curds
  • Salt as per taste

How to Make Dahi Matar Chaat

  • Add half a cup of water to the tamarind paste and boil with jaggery, salt and all the dry masalas.
  • Add the peas and cook till the peas blend well with the masalas.
  • Save a little of the onions and tomatoes for garnishing and add the rest to the peas.
  • Boil for a minute.
  • Meanwhile, beat the curd, transfer peas into a separate plate.
  • Pour a couple of spoons of curd on the peas and sprinkle some chaat masala and garnish with chopped onions, tomatoes and coriander.
  • Serve.
